"...how misty, wavering and incomprehensible are the beings that share with us the warmth of the sun and the sight of the stars."--Joseph Conrad

Jung coined the term "Transpersonal" to describe a "psychology which transcends the merely personal, a philosophical achievement".

My orientation in the practice of psychotherapy is humanistic (that our potential is infinite), cognitive (we can learn ways of thinking and changing patterns to bring about a more authentic life), systemic (we are never operating in isolation but as parts of a living whole), biopsychological (mind and body inseparable), existential (tolerance for individuation), feminist (politics are personal), and psychodynamic (unconscious processes are enormously influential). My particular strengths include Archetypal, Depth, and Transpersonal psychology.
